It is with great sadness that we, the Western Canadian Senior Hockey committee, have decided to suspend the 2008 tournament.
Although we had 15 teams entered, we were not able to place them into the age category required, therefore giving us an imbalance in each division. After many hours, no matter how hard we tried, facing full payment for ice rentals etc. we came to the conclusion that we should suspend this year’s tournament.
There were several factors in our decision, mostly the loss of teams to the B.C. Senior Summer games in Prince George, B.C. mid September, preceeding our tournament.
Each one of us has vowed that we will be back, in fact have already set the wheels in motion!
Plan on being in Kamloops, October 1, 2, 3 & 4, 2009 at which time WE WILL run our 7th Annual.
