100 Mile House Old Stars Hockey Tournament
When: November 7, 8, & 9, 2008
A fourteen team tournament, Level C, three divisions, 35, 45 & 55 years of age.
The 100 Mile House Old Stars Tounament has been running for 18 years and is back for another! Our Entry Fee for 2008 is $750, includes banquet, dance, door prizes and refreshments each game. We will invite and accept entries up to a maximum of 14 teams on a first-come, first-served with deposit basis.
Each team will play 3 games. Game times to be announced at a later date.
Games are 2-20 min stop-time periods allowing 80 minutes per game. We clean the ice between each game. Two of divisions are 4 team, the other is a six team division, divided 3 and 3 with a crossover for the third game. Our scoring system is 2 points for each period won, 1 point for a tied period and an additional 2 points for the winner of the game.
This is a CARHA sanctioned Tournament. CARHA Rules will be enforced (including the helmet rule). We would encourage player to wear face protection because facial and dental injuries are not covered if a face shield, and mouth guard in case of the half shield, is not worn.
We have found that interest in this tournament has grown significantly in the past few years so get your entries in early. Absolute last date for entries will be Oct. 24, 2008, it must by noted that last year ALL divisions were filled by Oct 1, and a wait list had to be established.
The 35 division is open, the 45 and the 55+ are " C " caliber. We will try to keep the teams even for fair play and equal competition. Entries will be determined on suitability for the Division requested on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis. To ensure a spot in this tournament send a $300.00 deposit.
Entry fee will include a banquet for all players. (A small fee for extra meals for wife's, significant others, etc…) Good music and lots-and-lots of prizes!
There will be a player's lounge – for those of you who attended last year it will not be in the exposed beside the ice surface.
Please return your registration and deposit as soon as possible. Upon receipt of all entries an informational package will be forwarded. Please indicate the division you wish to enter. Hope to see you in 100 Mile.
